What you will need:
- Sony PSP
- Sony Memory Stick Duo
- USB Cable
- Computer w/ USB port (USB 2.0 recommended for best performance)
What you should know:
- WARNING: Formatting your Memory Stick will erase ALL DATA stored on the
Memory Stick. This includes saved game data, photos, videos, etc.
How to format your memory stick on your PSP:
- BE SURE YOU HAVE BACKED UP ANY DATA YOU WISH TO KEEP FROM YOUR MEMORY STICK BEFORE PROCEEDING!
- Connect the small end of the USB cable into the PSP, and the larger end to the USB port on your computer.
- Turn on the PSP
- Use the left and right directional arrow keys located on the left side of the PSP to select the "Settings" menu (the
left-most menu).
- Use the up and down directional arrow keys located on the left side of the PSP to highlight the "System Settings" option.
- Press the "X" key located on the right side of the PSP.
- Use the up and down directional arrow keys located on the left side of the PSP to highlight the "Format Memory Stick" option.
- Press the "X" key located on the right side of the PSP.
- You will be asked if you are sure you wish to format the Memory Stick. Use the left and right directional arrow keys
located on the left side of the PSP to select "Yes".
- Press the "X" key located on the right side of the PSP.
- You will be warned that all data on the Memory Stick will be deleted. Use the left and right directional arrow keys
located on the left side of the PSP to select "Yes".
- Press the "X" key located on the right side of the PSP.
- You will be notified when the format is complete.
- Your Memory Stick is now formatted. Press the "O" on the right side of the PSP to return to the menu.
